September 20, 2019

Effective 1 October 2019, the Internal Affairs Ministry’s Moscow Office will issue all invitation letters in electronic format only.

Additionally, payment certificates will have to be submitted along with the application package.

Note that corrections will only be made to mistakes made by the Internal Affairs Ministry officials in the foreign national’s name or place of birth.  Corrections will take approximately one to two business days.

Corrections will not be made to the date of intended entry and exit, nor to the Russian consulate of application.  Note that a visa can only be issued by the Russian consulate indicated in the invitation letter.
