PERU: New Work Contract Registration System

November 23, 2018

The Peruvian government has launched a new online system for registering and subsequently managing employment contracts.

The new system, called SIVICE (‘Virtual System of Contracts for Foreigners’) allows employers to obtain automatic same-day contract approval upon uploading a copy of the employment contract, duly signed by both parties, along with a sworn confirmation that the employment complies with the law, and proof of payment of the required fee.

Previously, employment contract approval could take up to 15 working days.

SIVICE will be implemented progressively at national level, beginning at the Regional Labour Office of Lima Metropolitan.
