PERU: New Entry Rules for Venezuelan Nationals

June 11, 2019

Effective 15 June 2019, the Peruvian immigration authorities will only allow Venezuelan nationals to enter Peru if they have a valid passport and visa.

Venezuelan nationals who intend to enter Peru with a “Humanitarian Visa” will be able to apply for one at the General Consulates of Peru in Caracas and Puerto Ordaz, in Venezuela; as well as, exceptionally, in Bogotá, Medellín and Leticia, in Colombia; and in Cuenca, Guayaquil, Quito, Machala and Loja, in Ecuador.

Finally, Venezuelan nationals may apply for a Tourist, Business or other immigration status (other than Humanitarian) at any Peruvian Consulate abroad.
