NIGERIA: Registration of Resident Foreign Nationals Announced

On 12 July 2019, the Nigerian government directed all foreign nationals who intend to reside in Nigeria for at least 90 days to present themselves within six months to the Nigeria Immigration Service to be registered.

Any migrant who fails to comply with this directive will be declared an illegal immigrant.

Further guidelines and directives on the implementation of the registration process are expected from the Nigeria Immigration Service.
