CIBT and Newland Chase will be prominent participants again at the annual Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) Convention, held this year in Chicago August 3 – 7. Eight CIBT and Newland Chase leaders will be attending the week-long event, with four presenting featured educational sessions for attendees. This year’s GBTA Convention will host nearly 7000 attendees representing over 50 countries.
Members of our leadership team in attendance will include Steve Diehl, Global Managing Director, Sandi Woznitski, Senior VP of North America, Jason Rogers, VP and Senior Global Immigration Counsel, Rob Moorhouse, Managing Director, Americas and EMEA, Ken Nickel-Lane, Managing Director, Canada, Craig Collins, Senior Director, Account Management, Nan Piao, Director of Global Account Management, and Cassandra Herndon, Senior Immigration Consultant.
Jason Rogers and Sandi Woznitski will be presenting the educational session, International Immigration and Tax Compliance for Business Travelers, alongside Kane Mason, Tax Manager at BDO and Rosemary Maloney, Senior Manager, Travel and Meetings at Tapestry. Scheduled for Tuesday, August 6 at 10:30AM, the session will present practical guidance for travel managers on maintaining compliance and avoiding risks of violating immigration and tax laws for business travelers.
Also scheduled for Tuesday morning (at 9:00AM), Rob Moorhouse and Cassandra Herndon will present United States-Canada Cross-Border Challenges for Business Travelers, with Andrew Merrills, Attorney at Olgletree Deakins. Their session will look at the causes of the surge in entry denials for business travelers crossing the U.S.-Canada border and equip both travelers and travel managers with practical tools for successful border crossings in the current environment.
