ARGENTINA: Restrictions on Company Registration Deadline Extension Requests

April 24, 2019

The National Registry of Sponsoring Entities (Renure) has announced that it will no longer accept deadline extension requests from companies incorporated as Limited Liability Companies (“SRL” in Spanish), branch offices or foundations.

Affected companies must update their registration at Renure prior to the expiration date in order to maintain their active registration and permission to sponsor visa applications.

This measure does not affect companies incorporated as Corporations (“SA”) for which deadline extension requests will continue to be accepted, since it is presumed by law that the board of directors remains the same until the annual shareholder meeting is held.
